After over 40 years of helping employers, clients and my own businesses to make above average profit, I am going to the expense side. When businesses are suffering because of a downturn in business or any other reason, the first thing they may cut is personnel because it is a large expense. The second may be advertising because is also a large expense. These cuts could provide immediate gains in revenue, but may hurt profits in the future.
Before cutting those expenses, businesses must look at every way they may save money which increases revenue. However, either the business does not have the ability to reduce some expenses or they don't have the personnel or time to do so.
That is why they have the need for a consultant that works on their behalf at no cost. The cost only comes out of the savings. No savings, no cost.
That is what I doing now and will continue to do as my final career.
